We are a small family-run company. We started out in 1987 as a consultancy contracted to design a video wall processor for a leading UK equipment hire company and provide them with technical support. In 1993 we decided to specialise in the design and manufacture of video wall equipment initially trading as Media Technologies partnership. In June 2006 we began trading as Media Technologies Ltd. to better handle a huge growth in business. We also established Media Technologies LLC based in Joplin-Missouri to address the North American market.
Media Technologies is still run by the original partners Don Clarke and Mick Hale.
We are located in Colchester - the oldest recorded town in England and we now have a base in Joplin-Missouri on famous Route 66.
While many of our competitors have now disappeared - we have very low overheads and intend to stick around as long as there is a market for our video wall equipment.
Our first video wall processor The Professional was launched into the London AV-rental market in 1988. For several years this machine was the most sophisticated processor around because it assigned a complete full-frame dynamic real-time video effects processor to each monitor in the video wall array. Amazing real-time pan and zoom effects were possible with this processor and one is still operating as a licensed game machine in the Nugget Casino, Las Vegas-USA.
The professional was followed by The Chameleon, a general-purpose multiple frame store processor that found a niche market in TV game shows.
To address a wider market including retail signage we developed lower cost video wall processors such as the "Big Picture" launched in 1996, and The Brick-1 launched in 2000.
Our latest video wall processor the Brick-2 launched in 2005 builds upon this long tradition of innovation. It is currently the leading standard definition video wall processor on the market and is the only product that has composite-video and s-video outputs.
We are developing a new high definition video and graphics video wall processor scheduled to be available mid-2008.
We are a small company with very low overheads. We are are very responsive and will gladly provide references to satisfied customers in your region on request.
